Talley Family

I have known this family since Erica and I were in Kindergarten together in the same classroom. They wanted a special surprise for their mom for Mother’s Day, so we took some covert pictures in the bamboo forest behind our former elementary school. I had so much fun taking these, which I did on the same day as Emily’s (the youngest sibling’s) senior photos! I’ll be uploading those shortly as well!

Sara Is Demanding

Not really. She’s actually lovely. And a wonderful friend.
We took some photos last week, and she has not ceased pestering me to get me to post them all, but I’ve just been too busy with school and work responsibilities to get to all of them. And so, in order to accommodate her, I’ve ended up editing one photo every day for her to see.
It’s actually been nice, because I’ve taken more time than I might ordinarily, when I edit large quantities of photos at once, and therefore have a singular photo that I have paid close attention to each day. Here are the images I have edited so far.

Grandma’s Wedding

I am quite certain that not everyone has the opportunity to photograph their grandmother’s wedding. I had that unique privilege in December, and I made a video to send out to all her friends and family.

Here it is:

Fall Randomness

I’m timely, right? Just in time for winter.
Also, it occurs to me that I didn’t post any pictures from last fall, even though I took a ton. So, here’s a link to a few on my tumblr if you’d like to check them out.

I took this when I was lost in the woods.

Laying on the ground in my driveway.

From when I made cinnamon pecan bread.

My cowboy boots. I LOVE them.

Marble Festival ’10

I had such a fun time with my sweet friends at the Marble Festival. I love that it’s a tradition that we continue to share each year. And, I love that my friends put up with me taking a million pictures of them.

I love this fire truck picture. But, fire trucks in parades always remind me of Mr. Holland’s Opus, which makes me a little sad.

I find this clown/hobo guy both a little creepy and a lot awesome. Plus I love his cool bendy bike.

I want this VW bus/truck thing. I would be all over driving it around.

I just feel like there is something endearing about this shot.

This shot was really blown out, but now that I’ve toned it down a little, I like the composition.

I like this shot, even though she’s 3/4 turned away. I think it’s a combination of the mystery of not being able to see her face, but you can sort of feel the joy of her expression.

My friend Drew’s awesome girlfriend, Amber. She is so sweet, and I am so happy she’s become a part of my circle of friends.

I love these fun glass chimes and decorations. There is just something sort of magical about them.

I seriously have the most photogenic friends on the planet.

I love this little stream that runs through the park where the marble festival is. I think it’s so charming.

Such a nice reflection, with the booths above the stream.

Obviously, kettle corn is dangerous, as you can see from the massive amounts of steam, and the flying kernels.

P.S. If you want to see all the fun/goofy/random pictures from this day, I made this album public on my facebook. You can see it here.

Centerpointe

My lovely friend, Denver owns a dance and yoga studio in Blue Ridge, Centerpoine Studios. She invited me to come up and take some photos of her performing line girls for publicity (and for some art she could hang on the wall). The girls were amazing, and up for just about anything. Here are a few of the great shots we got:

N.O. or Bust!

Kelsea wanted some really unique portraits as a send-off to college. She just moved to Tulane, and thought it would be fun and funny to do a hitch-hiking themed photoshoot near her hometown. This shoot was so fun and so funny. Kelsea is crazy and hilarious, and was not only up for anything, but had her own awesome ideas about what she wanted. Here are some favorites:

Model Behavior

Two of my friends are competing in a plus-sized modeling competition, and asked me to photograph them for the competition. We had such a fun time getting these great shots!

Awesome Family

These photos are of my amazing friend Denise, her husband Steven, and their recently adopted son Robbie. This family is amazing, and the love that they have for each other is beautifully apparent. These were a part of a larger photo shoot at Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, where Denise and Steven work, which I’ll post photos from as soon as I finish the editing.

Headshots

Some of the many headshots I took for the TPP production of Guys and Dolls. Just a few favorites.
